Windows Firewall
  • Open Windows Security → Firewall & network protection
  • Allow an app through firewall
  • Add Java/Minecraft or your launcher
  • Allow both Private and Public
Mac Firewall
  • System Settings → Network → Firewall
  • Click Options...
  • Add Java/Minecraft and allow incoming connections
Router/Ports
  • Forward 25565 TCP/UDP
  • Reserve static IP for the server
  • Check ISP modem settings
Connection Issues

'Can't Reach Server'
  • Verify IP and port
  • Restart server from panel
  • Check firewall/port forwarding
'Outdated Client/Server'
  • Ensure same game version

  • Restart both client and server
